FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

As a forwarder you work at the office where you take care of the orders of your customers from A t Z. In terms of import, customs, storage and export, you really take everything out of your customers' hands. Of course, taking care of transports through different modalities also comes into play. For this you use other service providers that you also build a relationship with. In the job, it mainly comes down to taking care of road transport that needs to be serviced throughout Europe with many German clients. You also take care of the storage and transshipment for your customers who expect you to know exactly where what stands, how many you have, but also whether you can repackage 20 tons from 1000 kg Big bags to 10 kg plastic bags. Your tasks include:

  • Books of transports (worldwide)
  • Stock management, WMS, VAL
  • Process orders from A / Z in the system
  • Monitoring your booked transports, all your transports are on time.
  • Transport documents, customs documents
  • Purchasing transports and other logistics services
  • Create quotations
  • Invoicing, in accordance with offers
  • Maintaining contacts with carriers and international customers

JOB REQUIREMENTS

To qualify for the Freight Forwarder function, you meet the following requirements:
  • At least one MBO course in the direction of logistics, you work and think at higher vocational level.
  • at least 2 years experience as a freight forwarder or a similar function.
  • Knowledge of transport, customs and WMS
  • Experience with a WMS system, including microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Customer friendly, you also have a commercial institution.
  • A flexible attitude, accurate, stress-resistant and a tackling mentality.
  • Good command of the English / German language orally and in writing, Dutch is of course your mother tongue.
  • Full-time available.
  • Living in the Moerdijk area
  • In possession of own transport.
